Employee's Trapped (October 11,2007)

October 11, 2007 New Hamburg Fire District was dispatched to the Poughkeepsie Galleria for 2 employees trapped in Gordon Jewlers. Upon arrival Car 1 ( Chief J. Moore) found 2 employees trapped and determined that the quickest and safest way to free the employees were to use the rescue air bags on 53-52 (Rescue).
Dumpster Fire (August 19, 2007)

August 19, 2007 New Hamburg Fire District were dispatched to a reported dumpster fire next to structure. 53-1 (Chief's Car)arrived on the scene with two engines and contained the fire to the dumpster with no damage to the structure.
Parking Deck Collapse (15 February 2007)

New Hamburg was dispatched at 11:10 am on Thursday February 15, 2007 for a partial building collapse at the Poughkeepsie Galleria. Upon arrival it was determined that a 100' x 100' section of the upper parking deck collapsed. After a primary search it was determined that there were no apparent victims.
Brush Fire (June 5, 2005)

New Hamburg fire department responded to this brush fire reportedly close to a residence. The fire was extinguished with no damage to the home.
Barge Runs Aground on Hudson River (April 28, 2005)

New Hamburg 53-99, 53-11, and 53-52 responded to the scene of a gas spill in the Hudson River due to a barge that had hit Diamond Reef and punctured the under side, spilling an unknown quantity of gas into the river.
