What Type of Information We Collect

   The server on which the Website is located collects and saves only the default information customarily logged by web server software. Such information may include the date and time of your visit, the originating IP address, and the pages and images requested. In addition, we may use third party programs beyond the server to collect similar data in order to determine how we can better serve our customers. Once again this data typically includes date and time of your visit, pages requested, location of the originating server, and so on. All data collected is kept private within the New Hamburg Fire District and once again only serves as statistical data for analyzing how we can expand upon our online services.

   New Hamburg Fire District will not sell or trade your personal information to any third party, absent authorization by you. The Internet medium will not change this. We only collect your information in order to provide you with better services.

3. Accessibility Statement

   The New Hamburg Fire District is dedicated to web accessibility. This often overlooked issue is a top priority to our community, as it is with many other governmental and fire department websites. We our proud of the department's who have committed themselves to the development and integration of web accessibility and we are also proud that we can join the ranks of accessible websites. Below is some helpful information on our implementation of accessibility and how to benefit from it's features.

Accessibility Standards

   The fire district is committed to meeting web standards. Standards mean that everyone can access a website that displays correctly. It means that the handicapped can view websites without major struggles. Because of all these reasons are very important to use we have designed our website to meet the following standards:

	All pages have been checked and have been found to meet the W3C requirements to be valid XHTML 1.0.
	All pages use external stylesheets (CSS) for more flexible updating and to meet the web standards. All sheets have been checked and meet W3C requirements to be valid CSS. (Note: Although there may be some warnings because of some design elements, all stylesheets meet the requirements.)
	Probably the most difficult standard to validate a website to is accessibility standards. This website has been validated on at least two "Accessibility Validator" programs to see if it validate. It also has been manually viewed to also see if it meets the requirements. (Note: A majority of the standards are highly opinionated and can only be determined by manually checking. It is in our best judgment that we meet the W3C Single A standard for accessibility. If you found an area of the site that does not meet this standard, feel free to Contact Us with your concern.)
