October 11, 2007 New Hamburg Fire District was dispatched to the Poughkeepsie Galleria for 2 employees trapped in Gordon Jewlers. Upon arrival Car 1 ( Chief J. Moore) found 2 employees trapped and determined that the quickest and safest way to free the employees were to use the rescue air bags on 53-52 (Rescue). Within minutes New Hamburg fire fighters had the security gate raised and supported, freeing the employees and allowing access for the security gate repairman.
