The New Hamburg Fire Prevention Team headed by Ed Ludwig and Doug Terwilliger went to the Sheafe Road Elementary School to teach the students in grades Kindergarten to 5th the importance of fie prevention. Kindergarten to 4th grade learned about Stop, Drop, and Roll; Get Out, Stay Out; E.D.I.T.H. and about smoke detectors. The 5th grade visited the fire house for lunch and to look at the apparatus and the Dutchess County Safety Trailer. They also had the chance to review the fire prevention steps they learned in the past.
