NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION OF NEW HAMBURG FIRE DISTRICT
DECEMBER 13, 2011
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the New Hamburg Fire District will take place on December 13, 2011 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the New Hamburg Fire Station 1, 15 Channingville Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, Town of Poughkeepsie, New York 12590, for the purpose of:
1. Electing one Commissioner for a 5-year term commencing on January 1st, 2012 and ending on December 31st, 2016.

Candidates for District Office of Fire Commissioner must file a petition signed by at least 25 registered voters of the Fire District, which petition must be filed with the Secretary of the Fire District no later than November 23, 2011.
All residents of the Fire District duly registered with the Dutchess County Board of Elections as of November 22/23, 2011 shall be eligible to vote.
Absentee ballots, where voters will be unable to attend for reasons pursuant to Town Law Section 175-b, may be obtained by making written application. Such applications may be obtained from the New Hamburg Fire District Secretary, c/o Gellert & Klein, P.C., Roderick J. MacLeod, Esq., 75 Washington Street, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601. Completed applications must be received at the above address no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 6, 2011.
Please be advised that the Board of Elections of the Fire District shall meet on November 28, 2011 at 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the District Firehouse, 15 Channingville Road, Wappingers Falls, New York for the purpose of preparing the rolls of registered voters of the Fire District.
